Review on MoKo Case Fit New IPad Air (3Rd Generation) 10 Tablet Accessories by Ken Kowal

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Good for the price but disappointing to use, great seller

EDIT: The manufacturer/seller emailed me apologizing for the disappointing results with the case. They offered to send me a replacement without asking for a refund of the original, stating that they usually have enough magnetic strength to support an iPad as per my initial review. I received a replacement case but couldn't tell any noticeable difference from the second case. I added a few stars to the rating based on the seller's attention and desire to make the buyer happy. I really appreciate this attention and it should not go unnoticed. To be honest the case rating stays at 2 stars but the seller rating stays at 5 stars. I won't hesitate to buy from them in the future, and I have no complaints about the case (it was nine bucks, so that's okay for the price). The plastic back fits pretty well. The holes for the cameras and sensors on the back of the iPad aren't perfect (off-center, but not blocked). The foldable screen cover doesn't have as strong a magnetic pull as other smart cases I've used in the past. When you fold it into a triangular shape to use it as a stand to set the iPad upright, it's very flimsy and only moves and unfolds by fingertip scrolling. I can't use it in the down position (the folded part at the top of the screen, so the iPad is tilted for typing) for over a minute, if that, until it collapses under its own weight. If you want a hard plastic case with a smart screen protector, that's fine. However, this is not sufficient in practice. I've been looking for a replacement for less than a day now.

Pros
  • Good workmanship
Cons
  • Obsolete model
