Many years ago I bought a large dog food container (roughly 17" x 18" x 20" high) for my recycling items. I used to get free recyclable bags in the town I lived in, but that's no longer the case. After trying various tall kitchen bags (never tall enough to be pulled across the opening), it finally occurred to me to settle on 33-gallon bags. I was warned in another review that there is no inner box so I carefully opened it and it has its own storage box (12 x 18 x 4 height)! I highly recommend these bags if (1) you don't need drawstrings and (2) you don't expect a separate bag storage box.
