Review on DragonLight Commercial Grade Fanless Equivalent by Louis Asok

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not as useful as hoped Fanless Daylight 60W 7200LM

First Impression: Smaller than I thought! The haptics are well made, lots of heat-dissipating material. The color is very blue as expected. I'm using a garage with an unpainted ceiling (not drywall) that is 8 feet high. I just added 4 single bulb ceramic sockets over my saws and other equipment to replace 2 multi bulb fluorescent lights. I installed 4 4200LM 68W Curly fluorescent tubes that I had in stock. They work really well, but they need daylight color and more light that wouldn't need to be heated in an unheated detached garage. I currently have 2 Sansi 60w 4 panel 6000lm garage lights in other lights in the same garage. Now for the rating. The new Dragon Corn Cob looks brighter (don't do it) than anyone else, as unfortunately most of the LED chips are on the sides, directing their light at a 90 degree angle to the ground, with no white ceiling, this is not the case. Things I need don't shine, shine. The 4200 lumen shaped lamps produce much more usable light and the Sansi lamp is by far the brightest thanks to its adjustable arms and downward focus. I had a pretty good idea that the corncob design wouldn't be efficient for my needs, but I was blown away by the LM output and just wanted to try it. I'll update this after I've had it for a while as I have no information on durability or how well it performs in sub-zero and +100F summer temperatures. LEDs have a very directional light, so be sure to keep that in mind when purchasing.
