Review on Versatile, Portable 2-Burner Gas Stove for RVs, Apartments & Outdoor Cooking by Aaron Ethridge

Not easy to convert to vanlife

Bought this after trying the CampLux which is almost identical to the FlameKing which is a two burner RV stove. The CampLux had to be returned due to a broken handle which got stuck and wouldn't turn off the burner. I didn't like the oval burner and how the two burners were offset making it difficult to use more than one pan and heating the pan oddly. The advantage of these others is that they are specifically designed for road vibration and can be easily mounted into a cut-out in the surface. This AUODGDNT is identical to the GasHob and is not designed for road vibration or fender flex. If you step on the brakes or have an accident, the grate, burners and metal rings will fly and it will rattle as you drive. Also, AC powered igniters are useless in a DC powered van unless you have an inverter. It is not designed for flush mounting (no screw holes) and the stainless steel cover does not sit flush with the body, which is a design flaw. Eventually, I discovered the reasonably priced Dometic, a more advanced two-burner van oven.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Damaged
