As far as I can tell, these are good boots. This is the first time I've tried them and they've never slipped off. We had ice covered roads here and it was so bad that the police called all the houses in town and told them to stay home and not drive. I checked the sidewalks outside, they were completely slippery and covered in ice. So I went to the store as a test, walked about a mile, and they never slipped, and without them I would definitely slip and fall. Everyone. They have those laces that keep them securely on the foot and I haven't noticed any discomfort at all. They work well, they really work. But the sizes are too small for me. My foot is only about 9 and I ordered a large one that fits perfectly. So definitely very big for big feet and boots. Overall I'd say they're a little on the small side, but other than that they seem to work very well.
