I bought this about a month ago to replace my MP640 which I loved but ended up killing. The new printer isn't making my life miserable, but it's nowhere near as good as the MP640. Pros: -- I bought the orange one and it's very, very pretty. - It's loud and wobbles out of the box. , but turning on silent mode fixes that. Print quality is great. Cons: No rear feed for special paper, only a small second cassette for photos. I didn't even think to look for this feature as the retract seems to be a basic thing that all printers should have. There are no dice. I have to pull out the cassette every time, but for me it's a lot. Which leads me to the printer asking me to "register" every time I change the paper. So the printer not only has to tell me which paper I'm using in the print dialog, it also has to know it. If you change paper frequently, it becomes quite annoying. Eventually it gets stuck. I haven't had a paper jam in my home printer because I don't know when. 640 definitely never gets stuck. This printer often freezes when I print more than one page. And now I'm buying a printer again. Maybe I can find another MP640.
