UPDATED (1/3/17) 16 months DOA

This was my original, simple review shortly after purchase: Prints text as well as a laser printer and takes professional-quality photos. UPDATE: Regarding the printer I bought on 08/25/15, just a few days later 16 months, it's practically brand new for a rarely used home printer, but now it's throwing the error "error code B203". I've used this printer so little since I bought it that I didn't even use half of the first set of replacement cartridges. As this expensive unit appears to only have

I bought this about a month ago to replace my MP640 which I loved but ended up killing. The new printer isn't making my life miserable, but it's nowhere near as good as the MP640. Pros: -- I bought the orange one and it's very, very pretty. - It's loud and wobbles out of the box. , but turning on silent mode fixes that. Print quality is great. Cons: No rear feed for special paper, only a small second cassette for photos. I didn't even think to look for this feature as the retract seems to be aโ€ฆ

If you are trying to print envelopes with this printer, you should PUNCH IT OUT THE WINDOW.

This is the worst printer I have ever owned. Don't buy this if you ever want to print on envelopes. I'm trying to print envelopes for Christmas cards - a standard printer request. I have 157 to print and of the 24 I've now printed LARGE (ONLY THREE envelopes fit in the paper tray at a time - GOOD*) 6 are too crooked to use and the machine has jammed 5 times. * If you add more than 3 envelopes, it will surely get stuck; at 3 it gets stuck half the time. Right now it's telling me there's anโ€ฆ

Amazing printer and amazingly easy to use. If you know how. ;-)

I'll start by saying I've had this printer for 5-6 hours so I can't attest to its longevity. It was easy to install printer cartridges and paper and easy to use after pairing wirelessly with my computer, but I would deduct 3 stars for ease of setup (pairing wirelessly with my computer) except for one. and this is Canon technical support. When I couldn't set it up myself (why doesn't the included CD work with Apple Macs?) I called Canon tech support and they helped me set it up. It was reallyโ€ฆ
