Review on πŸ–¨οΈ CANON MG7520 Wireless Color Cloud Printer with Scanner and Copier, Black – Discontinued Edition by David Gibbs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Amazing printer and amazingly easy to use. If you know how. ;-)

I'll start by saying I've had this printer for 5-6 hours so I can't attest to its longevity. It was easy to install printer cartridges and paper and easy to use after pairing wirelessly with my computer, but I would deduct 3 stars for ease of setup (pairing wirelessly with my computer) except for one. and this is Canon technical support. When I couldn't set it up myself (why doesn't the included CD work with Apple Macs?) I called Canon tech support and they helped me set it up. It was really easy when they told me how to do it. (See, someone more tech-savvy than me probably wouldn't have a problem with this.) Within 5-10 minutes of speaking to tech support, I was set up and my computer was wirelessly printing to the printer. Also, Canon tech support told me about printing from my iPhone and iPad (cool!), including using the Canon app I downloaded from iTunes (handy but not required), and how to print from both apps and direct from iPhone, iPad prints. . (I'll admit I'm 60 years old, so the technique doesn't usually come easily to me.) After setting up the printer, I used it for several hours with residue I was waiting for. new printer. And I confess, I also printed photos. I am amazed at how easy this printer is to use and how good the printouts look, both with documents and pictures. Just a note: the first set of ink cartridges will be used up faster than subsequent ink cartridges due to the ink required to fill them. empty ink heads. This is stated in the documentation and I can see that after the ink heads were installed there was a slight but noticeable drop in ink levels according to the graph on the printer's LCD screen. I assume this applies to all printers. The fact that the printer has an LCD screen that shows the remaining ink levels is great as it makes it really easy to tell when the ink levels are low. I can't imagine that halfway through a print job I realized I was running out of ink and needed to buy more ink. What impressed me the most is that Canon offers free phone support for the lifetime of the printer. The real printer comes with a 12-month warranty, which I think is pretty damn generous. I didn't know any of these facts until I spoke to a tech support engineer tonight. If you would like to verify my claims on this matter you can call them at 1-800-OK-CANON. Too bad I didn't know this before buying as I would have committed to buying it much sooner than I did. This printer was packaged really well by both Canon and Revain. Shipping was of course fast and I love being able to track my Revain packages. Edited about 10 months later. I still love the ease of use of this printer. Never had to call tech support again. I'm just writing and I'm asking. I'm happy. Also, it looks great on my desk and doesn't take up much space.
