The cord is black and white (not the same as the product image, which shows an all-black cord) and is made of a kind of absorbent rope that looks like fabric. It's not the standard plastic you see 99% of the time. Couldn't use it in my project. I had to run to order something else. Since my priorities for returns were low while I was nearing completion of the project, I also missed the return deadline (yes, it's my responsibility. One month is a reasonable return deadline). Now I'm sticking with it and because of the weird stuff on the cable I wouldn't use it in my shop either.
