Fluid leaks through the seams.
They are soft and not wrinkled like others. They feel like terry cloth, but rougher than terry cloth. I use them to protect pillows in a dog bed. Although the material is waterproof, the seams are not waterproof. If you take them and let water run through the seams it will leak through, which is what I did to understand why everything goes through the protective pad on my pillow. I have standard, king and queen sizes and they all fit. I was very disappointed and wish they could have worked better. A sealed seam solves all this problem.
