For me, most water creams aren't thick enough to feel truly hydrated. But I like to put it on before applying makeup. I don't like using a thick cream before makeup because I find it too heavy. That's why I like to use water creams for this. This one surprised me! I was intrigued at first because it contains 4 Hyaluronic Acids, Ceramides and is fragrance free. It contains tons of good ingredients like Glycerin, Saccharide Isomerate (100% natural plant-based moisturizer), Vitamin E, Vitamin C, 4 types of Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Acetylated Sodium). Hyaluronate), Soybean Oil, Sunflower Oil, Passion Fruit Oil, Chamomile and NG Ceramide. But there are silicones in there. If you don't like silicone, you can do without it. Just be aware that it's included and take a look at the ingredients if you're not a fan of silicones. It is a very light gel texture. It glides on the skin, absorbs quickly and leaves no sticky feeling or residue. It works well under makeup. It leaves my skin hydrated and ready for makeup. This surprised me because my skin felt so hydrated that I used it as a regular moisturizer rather than just a pre-makeup moisturizer, which water creams don't usually do for me. So that really surprised me. Overall I think this is a great moisturizer! It works very well under makeup. It hydrates the skin really well without feeling thick or heavy on the skin like some creams. As I said before, I usually prefer thicker creams than my regular moisturizer. I usually feel like it's the creams that keep my skin hydrated the best. But this one did a great job. I love that I found one that can be both my regular moisturizer and my pre makeup moisturizer. If you're looking for a really good moisturizer to use before makeup and/or as a regular moisturizer, I would recommend this one. Just note that it contains silicones. So if you don't like silicones in your products, you might not like this.
