Pretty good chair for its price. The base is solid - there's only one cheap plastic part and I try not to think about it as it's just for beauty and looks ok if you don't think about it. The seat has more cushion and is better than I expected. The wood finish leaves a lot to be desired, I had a few scratched spots on the corners as other reviewers have said, but not enough to return it. I like it best because it fits my needs perfectly in terms of design and function. I use it for just a few minutes every day when I'm putting on makeup or brushing my teeth, and then a few more minutes every few weeks when I'm using it in the barber's chair to cut my kids' hair or my husband's hair. It was easy to assemble by yourself.
