I bought this to replace the more expensive PC04 cable for my UV-25X4. For some reason I kept getting "cannot put the radio in clone mode". I've played around with connections, drivers and software for many hours. I never liked the feel of fitting between a quick connector and different cables. Because the radio I programmed only uses a standard 3.5mm TRS jack and this unit uses a 3.5mm TRS jack on a quick connect. I used a regular cable I had for headphones just in case. The clicking was more reliable and of course it started to work! I'm not sure if the connection tolerance inside the quick connector was barely broken or if the cable itself was faulty, but overall the product didn't work and there was no quality control that allowed me to send this broken item.. I wish to someone i would make a higher quality version of this i would pay 2x more to have a high quality FTDI version.
