Does NOT support HDCP - see

Total. These cables do not support HDCP, so you will NOT get any dialogue track, just an audio track associated with the video stream, making for a very interesting movie streaming experience. lol. I recently ordered and installed new HDMI cables for 4K support in my home theater system. The essence of 4K is that all devices and cables from the content provider to the display must be 4K compatible, otherwise the digital content along the way will have the lowest common denominator. My wife and I thought we were going to see a very avant-garde episode of FOREVER. (Revane Prime) through our Roku, where we could hear the score but the characters' dialogue was silent (like in a silent movie). We thought the producers wanted us to understand that to get the true expression of the characters and the feel of the episode, we need to watch this episode with subtitles and CC, and view them as someone hearing the inconsistency would view them would see. I have to say that it was quite a pleasant and amazing experience, not to mention that the episode is perfect to watch in this way. But when we watched another series, the same technical error occurred, which caused me to look at the cables. I had to replace this new cable from my Roku to the receiver to get dialogue back. These cables do not support HDCP.

Pros
  • Complies with HDMI standards (4K video at 60 Hz, 2160p, 48 bpp color depth), supports up to 18 Gbps bandwidth and is backward compatible with previous versions.
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model
