They work great. I ride this bike as fast as my other pedal road bike. They come in and out when I want. Brass scratches easily, but that makes sense because it's brass under a person's feet. Overall I am very satisfied and will buy them again. I've seen other people buy cheaper versions of these that aren't right and left and have issues with them. I don't know if this makes a difference to my pedals, but at least I can say I have no issues with them, so it's worth the few bucks more. It's better to pay extra for the right part than to save money and buy headache medicine because of problems that need fixing. I am very happy with my purchase.
