I bought this for a 2012 13" MacBook Air (A1466) with 128GB inventory. Pair it with a 500GB Western Digital M.2 SSD (SATA B+M), remember that this and similar SATA M.2 are the only ones compatible as nvme will NOT work. Easy installation, all you need is a P5 five-blade screwdriver to open the back cover, the adapter includes a small screw for SSD. I was a little worried that the SSD connected to the adapter would be "higher" than the original drive I was replacing, but when I put the MacBook back cover back on everything was fine. A new drive was detected when the Mac started up. , all I had to do was format it and restore the operating system. With that done and I finished the setup, all that was left to do was enable TRIM on the SSD and it was done. I use it every day and so far no problems.
