Pros: nice looking thick mesh material should be good all year round easy to assemble easy to attach to window Cons: took a few tries to get the suction right (like many Perches ), cats still prefer their old perches for some reason. I left this perch a week before writing this review so I could comment on the cats' use of the perch and its resistance to the window. Assembly was easy and similar to all other cat basses (we have 3 of them). By firmly attaching the suction cups to the window, you can start with a hit or miss. For example, it always takes me 2-3 tries to get it right. One side or the other may fall off. But frankly, that's typical of bass. If you get it "right" using proper wrist twist + clear window + gently rotating cup onto window surface, they usually hold up well. Also, you MUST screw the top suction cups tight (wheel turns). So after I put it on it lasted all week. But what if things go wrong? well, even if the suction cup gives way, there are 3 more, so you just have to reattach it with the twist and seal mentioned above. Not that perch and cats will fall. In that sense the construction is fine and the optics are great. The material is a thick mesh and should be suitable for year-round use. For extra fun for your cat, slip your claws under the hammock while your cat sits on it. They'll go crazy wondering what little prey is hiding beneath them! Enjoy!
