I love these little garlands! As soon as I received them, the garlands were ready to use. These small battery powered flashlights give off a warm glow and can be flicked around jewelry, costumes or just about anywhere as they hang from a thin wire. These are solid lights, but the wire is thin enough to be invisible when the light is on or off. There's also enough space between the attachments to allow you to squeeze wires into slots or wrap them around objects. The switch is easily accessible with a little extra wire on that end, so you can move it around to make it more accessible. They don't get hot either, so they're perfect for decorating plants or other heat-sensitive items. I would highly recommend them if you are looking to illuminate or beautify areas where the light is difficult to plug in. Centerpieces would suit them perfectly and add a warm vibe. This year I'm getting more for the garlands on my railings, but they're not just for holiday decorations. I recommend purchasing additional batteries. I use one of these as a night light so prolonged use will wear out the included batteries. They are easy to change. When you open the switch tab, the two batteries are in opposite directions. Simply take out the rear battery first, which is easier to reach, and then use a pen or other pointed object to pull out the other battery. Make sure the batteries are correctly inserted facing each other so you don't have to pull the battery out again!
