Review on Enhanced Tabletop Ironing Board by Whitmor with Scorch Resistant Cover by Tom Tucker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Better than I expected. Pros and cons listed

If you're looking for a small ironing board for smaller jobs this is a great option, but it definitely won't replace a regular ironing board. I bought this to use on the go for my sewing projects. I'm glad I made the purchase and it will work for my purposes. I'm going to list what I think are the pros and cons so hopefully this will help you in your purchasing decision. Pros: It has a hanger for quick storage in a closet or even hanging on a hook on the wall. It doesn't slide around enough. In order not to slip on the surface I use, it is a white craft table at tabletop height. It has the right height with legs to be comfortable when used at the height of an ironing stand. It has a larger surface area than I expected. about the width of a regular ironing board and about half the length. It has a mesh that allows steam to penetrate through the fabric so moisture doesn't collect on the lid. Cons: Wants to lean back and forth while ironing if I get close to the edges. I have my hand on the rounded edge to keep it steady for easy adjustment and doesn't really affect my use. It doesn't have a reflective coating that helps smooth out wrinkles from heat better. I work with 100% cotton but if you don't iron the fabric it probably doesn't matter. It feels like it's flexing under the weight of the iron so I'm not sure how long it will last. I think the mesh gives that feeling and I hope it doesn't really bend.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
