Review on 🔨 Enhance Wire Hardening and Wrapping with Solid Steel Metal Bench Block Tool 4" x 4" x 3/4 by Kristen Simpson

I'm happy with it but didn't know what to expect. I was afraid it would be just a piece of cold rolled steel cut to approximate dimensions, but what I got is very good, finely ground, shiny and with no rounded edges (the edges are almost sharp, but not to that extent ). I'm worried about cutting my hands.) I checked the flatness of the surface and it turned out to be minimally wavy with a deviation of less than 0.001" (I had about 0.0004") and it was fairly flat over the whole surface. with a slight dip in several thousand within a few millimeters from the edge. It was packed in a plastic bag with oil to keep it from corroding during storage or shipping. Can't say for sure it's hardened, but it looks like hardened steel. I am very happy with it and will be using it for a magnetic dial stand on a granite surface. If you plan on using it as a jewelry anvil for forging soft metals, I can't promise it's hardened, but I think it is.
