I bought it for remote work because I need to view many systems at the same time. The monitor is big enough, has built-in on-screen controls (you'll need to download an app from LG's website to access it), the ability to select a screen option to automatically place the various apps I use equally on-screen and across continue to support another application on my laptop screen. So basically I can display 4 different apps at once at a large enough scale to be useful. This allows me to improve my ability to multitask and switch between applications quickly. The price is phenomenal, under $200. It's economical enough for the average person to afford. I know not many people can afford a $300, $400, or $500 monitor. The On Screen App can display many more apps than the three I use. I can see how these smaller view options would be useful for those who need more thumbnails to quickly click and view.
