After a gentle 1/2 inch rain on first use, all flat surfaces of the scooter were wet and no holes were seen in the trunk. I'm not sure if it seeps through every seam or every inch of the material it's made of. I thought about condensation, but I have no reason to believe that a plastic scooter should be colder than anything else. I had to work hard to find a way to pour out half a liter of accumulated water from the inside. The rubber band worked well.
