I bought these SIMOLIO headphones as a Christmas present for my 94 year old mother who wears hearing aids. For more than a year she has had difficulty hearing television, especially dialogue. What an improvement in her life! Now she enjoys movies and news shows again with really clear and crisp sound; Instead of the TV playing at full volume (which she barely heard anyway), the TV volume can now be low for anyone watching TV with her. Life was successful again (and calmer). Out of the box the headphones are nicely packaged with a particularly well-written instruction manual. The headphones come with all conceivable connection cables: digital optical, red and white cinch, USB for charging. All batteries are included (and charged). CONNECTING This is one of my only (minor) complaints: most TVs require the headphones to be plugged into the CABLE BOX, not the TV itself. This allows others to hear the TV at the same time. It took me quite a long time to figure that out. Handbook authors may wish to emphasize this. At first I suspected the headphones might be defective; But that's not the case. (However, their wiring box WAS defective.) I got a new wiring box and everything worked fine; I'm so glad I didn't return this beautiful product. WIRELESS TRANSMITTER This transmitter is beautifully designed and POWERFUL. The added benefit of this is that she can walk around the house, do the dishes, do whatever and still listen to her favorite programs many feet away from the TV. The headphones also come with two charged batteries; one for use and one for charging in an organized compartment in the transmitter. It's very easy to change them this way. There's also a USB port for direct charging (but don't bother). I love that she doesn't have to hang her phones on a clunky stand or mount to charge them overnight. Batteries last at least 10-12 hours. COMFORT likes to wear them. Nicely lined and very comfortable. They are of such high quality that it seems that they will be much more expensive. FEATURES AND SOUND As I said, the sound quality is excellent. The controls are located on one side of the headphones and turn on volume/bass/treble etc. There's a great button to press when you want to hear others in the room talking; it effectively mutes the TV audio for the user. Another minor complaint, but this button is so small it's hard to find. And once it's pressed, it stays that way until it's pressed again (e.g. ON and OFF). This can be confusing for some users who may think the headphones are not working properly. I'd suggest finding that button much bigger and lighter and making it work like a walkie-talkie = walkie-talkie: hold it down to hear others, and when released it switches back to TV audio . I ended up taping off the button to disable it completely because initially my mom accidentally pressed it many times thinking that the batteries were dead or the headphones weren't working properly. OTHER THOUGHTS It's amazing that such a small thing can change another person's life. My mother smiles and laughs again when she watches TV and movies when she used to give up that part of her life. I recommend these wonderful headphones to anyone who is missing out on life due to hearing problems. SIMOLIO deserves recognition and reward for developing such a great product at an affordable price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
