Just what the kid wanted
My 8 year old wanted his own smartwatch/fitness. It was exactly what an eight year old wanted. Sure it has clocks, alarms and it tracks your steps, but it also has fun games and, much to my son's delight, a flashlight. He was excited to enter the dark conference room we entered last night and used a flashlight to find the light. It has things an adult wouldn't want in a fitness tracker, but it has exactly what a kid would want and I'm grateful for that.
