The high waist ensures there are no buns or weird notches under the dress to show that something is underneath the dress. They're short enough that they don't protrude under the skirt and I don't have to fold them to get a good length. They are also very comfortable and don't make me sweat or overheat on a sunny 30 degree day. I love them and once the other color combo I want is back in stock I will be ordering more. What about training shorts? I'm not physically in the place where that's really flattering. Although they fit very well, they look a little off and a little tighter than I would wear in public at this weight. But the shorts look great. Whites show through a bit, but I've never seen stretchy white shorts that don't show through. Although I have worn them around the house and for that they are fine.
