Almost impossible to read the rice/water level marks in the pot

While I like the function of this cooker, the rice and water levels in the pot are almost impossible to read dark in dark. This is a serious disadvantage for such a high-tech electronic device. That's why I'm considering returning it. I also wish there was a countdown clock for the total cooking time, not just the last 10 minutes.
