A cheap recorder is cheap because it sucks.
Terrible audio quality, limited proprietary format (default .voc format, .WAV recording capability) and barely working software package. Do not buy this recorder. It looks like a good cheap recorder that will satisfy the meager needs of the hobbyist, but unfortunately looks can be deceiving. You'll save a lot of time and hassle if you spend a little more money on a better recording device (hopefully the transcription will be smoother).
