Those in the know would appreciate my first attempts at balancing (and subsequently using) this device. It is really well made and can be assembled intuitively. It's lightweight yet incredibly durable. On the other hand, I found it terribly difficult to balance my DSLR well enough to get the stabilization I needed. I then learned that there is an important human movement technique that needs to work with the hardware. So I highly recommend the hardware but will proceed with the purchase knowing it takes time and practice to master.
