Sturdy construction and affordable price

Although I don't have that much experience with this as I work with a stabilizer, it's pretty easy to use. The sturdy and precise construction keeps the camera stable on the mount. Removable weights allow switching between heavier cameras. For the price and solid build, I would recommend it to other amateur videographers. The only downside is that you only have to use fixed lenses. Zoom lenses upset the balance.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Some difficulties

The build quality is excellent!

As with other products I've purchased from iFootage, the build quality here is excellent. I bought this steadicam for travel videos with my Fuji XT3. It's a solid block for a mirrorless camera, but it can handle heavier cameras and lenses, and being smaller/lighter than other slip cameras it doesn't seem able to stabilize either. Absolutely better than by hand, but it's more sensitive to adjustments and fits better than other glide cameras I've worked with.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some bugs

Does not support 2300g (5lb) payload

Purchased Wildcat III based on claimed payload support of up to 6.6lb or 3kg. My payload is just under 5 pounds or 2.3 kg. However, neither I nor my videographer who uses the Glidecam for his wedding video could get the rig to drop test and balance the gimbal. Despite the great response in terms of customer support, enviable design, and superb build quality, if it can't handle my setup, it's useless to me. So I'm going to return the Wildcat III and take the Glidecam.

Pros
  • Many will fit
Cons
  • No automatic

Great kit but a bit difficult to master!

Those in the know would appreciate my first attempts at balancing (and subsequently using) this device. It is really well made and can be assembled intuitively. It's lightweight yet incredibly durable. On the other hand, I found it terribly difficult to balance my DSLR well enough to get the stabilization I needed. I then learned that there is an important human movement technique that needs to work with the hardware. So I highly recommend the hardware but will proceed with the purchase knowing

GREAT HANDHOLD in pro video accessories

The stabilizer feels very solid and sturdy in your hands and folds into a very small package making it very easy to carry. The armrest is a game changer: less strain on your wrist and more time shooting! I used to use the Flycam C5: so heavy that my hand and wrist couldn't shoot for too long. Four stars only because their quality control didn't find anything wrong with the fine tuning of the record: it doesn't work well. in one direction to balance the camera. But they have great customer…

Durable and better suited to speed and environmental conditions

The materials are durable and can definitely take some thrills and splashes, unlike a gimbal which can only handle thrills. As someone who loves cheap thrills I can say I'm glad I got this instead of an expensive gimble. As with all stabilizers of this type, achieving stability is not an easy task. Suggest lots of exercise. Using it also requires practice and memorizing the position and numbers on the sides of the Swiss mounts. It took me about 20 minutes from unpacking to complete…

Very diverse! on camera and photo

I had several stabilizers and had the opportunity to work with many others and I wanted to try this stabilizer. I work in the wedding industry and wanted something appropriate for travel and this helped smooth my shots. I love and currently use the Robin Axler and love its versatility and that it can stand alone like a mini monopod/tripod. So the ifootage Wild Cat III was the design I worked with and personally prefer to use (compared to the Glidecam design). The overall quality is great, the…
