I have purchased several audio component boards that use the gold immersion process. So far I have been very impressed with the quality of these parts. I think this is partly due to the gold immersion process, but the fact is that boards with this process usually also have higher quality components on the board. For example, this board uses Nichicon capacitors, which are widely considered to be the best capacitors that can be used in audio applications. A reasonably priced amplifier board with such high quality components is quite rare. The difference is audible when comparing this board to other amps in the same price range. This little gem is head and shoulders up. Noise is lower than budget boards in the same price range. Despite the relatively low RMS power rating, this little guy reproduces surprisingly clean and lively transients. All in all, this is a pretty decent amp for a microscopic price. If I can find immersive golden audio devices with such characteristics, I might become a big fan. Try.
