I wasn't expecting much. I mean laptop stand. As long as it works, I'm happy, right? But right out of the box I was really impressed. It was well packaged, beautifully designed, made of durable materials, very well built, SUPER STURDY. I can't imagine him ever falling out of position with the heaviest equipment. Has rubber/silicone on all points where it contacts your appliance or countertop. A nice touch are the vents that allow air to circulate. I received it with the obvious intention of using it with my laptop. But as you can see in my photos/videos it works very well with my tablet too. I'll probably order a second one for that. And maybe even a third as I suspect it would also be a great stand for a small thin external monitor. This is a really great stand for just about anything you need. Just out of curiosity, I placed a 12.5 pound professional grade studio speaker on top and he held it without flinching. So add "speaker stands" to the growing list of uses! I'm a fan!
