I bought this card to replace the memory card in my 2001 model PSP and the read speed is very good compared to the usual slow microSDs of the same size. It takes less than 10 seconds to display all the data after waking from sleep, but once the PSP is on and reading the card, it works quickly and smoothly until it goes back to sleep. much easier since the 8 gigabytes that originally came with my PSP required frequent plugging into my computer to change files. Now I can download any of my favorite albums and still have enough room to take an album or movie on the train! I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm still very glad I bought it. Being a microSD with an adapter also makes it much easier to transfer files to and from my computer as the PSP typically uses a proprietary Sony Pro Duo memory card. Maybe it's just me, but I love how it looks with the gold stripe at the bottom!
