Just good but "flexible " addition to the Hue line

I have several other Hue lights at home so I decided to try these. First, all Hue products are expensive and this is no exception. Yes, you get a 6 inch LED strip which is many times more expensive than other LED strips. I'm assuming you're paying for a Hue app/ecosystem that's actually very user-friendly (though admittedly very basic) yet relatively bug-free and reliable. Works perfectly with the application. If your device is within range of your home transmitter, you can locate it and start it in the app in seconds. You name it, add it to the room and you're done. + Hardware looks solid and well made. Bad: - Glue sucks. It's a barely sticky piece of double-sided tape, as thick as an onion. It comes out of the box with a slick paper backing and the adhesive is so non-tacky I thought I didn't realize I peeled off the strip AND the paper backing until it was torn a few feet. I'm telling you, this thing is as sticky as an old sticker. LEDs are far apart. The packaging boasts that the strip glows evenly thanks to the tube... has the marketing department seen the product? The LEDs are spaced 2 inches apart, which is much less than what could reasonably be described as "uniform lighting". I'm assuming it's "just" a few meters from the roadway. But for this price, I expect twice as many LEDs per foot. You cannot make a strip multicolored. At least not with the standard Hue app. There may be a way to do this with third-party apps, but be aware. There are a lot of cheap individually addressable LED strips out there so this is no dream. For this price range, I definitely expect each section to be easily distinguishable, at least by color, in its own application. For my dollar, I'd rather have two "regular" Hue bulbs than these, but it's a really decent under-closet space. Lighting jobs when you don't want to have lights around. Philips, please add glue. This stuff just confuses you.
