Works as expected, easy extender chain and nice app. Use external clips from 3M Commander. This allows you to reach tighter corners without the strip coming loose when the TV gets hot. See my photos for context.

As previously mentioned, the pins on this extension DO NOT connect to the main light bar you wish to extend. They are shorter and closer together so the pins on them can't fit into the female end of the main lightstrip. The included plug doesn't help as it uses the same holes closer together. It's disappointing that comparability varies between color strips. Now we have to find the right sentence.

My wife and I use Philips Hue lights throughout the house, both indoors and outdoors. more than enough, and the Hue app is flawless in our opinion. Very easy to use and also pretty reliable as we never had any bugs in the app. 10/10, highly recommend if you are looking to take your home to the next level!

Philips launches a BRAND NEW and INCONSISTENT light strip. Do you call it the same? Yes, it's still Philips Hue Light Strip Plus. Seriously, check every word in those boxes. Are the same images of connectors glued to boxes with different types of battens? Yes, check it yourself. Is there some magical connection to make these two guys work together? I was only able to purchase 5 through Walmart and they are a different version and have a completely different connector! Wow, Phillips should VERY OBVIOUSLY indicate on purchase that they will not work with some versions of the base kit. What they don't mention is that if you have previous light bars, these new ones most likely DO NOT WORK. Plugs are not the same size at all and the only way to find out is to order them, open them up and try to plug them in. t. So please pay attention to the plug type, otherwise you need to send back or buy a second socket.

I'm upset enough to return the product. For some reason the connectors have been moved a little closer together in this updated version of the light bars. This means that none of the previous light bar extensions can be connected to this new light bar. I have a Phillips color bar and bought a couple of extensions to get the perfect look. I'm not sure what happened here. I ordered this light strip as a bluetooth controlled device. It works as advertised, but I can't extend it due to incompatible extensions. I tried adding a 40 inch strip and as I have shown in my drawings they don't match at all. I received an old product? I ordered the original kit from Amazon and the extension from Home Depot.
