It differs from person to person on the face, but is generally gentle on the body.

On the positive side, it doesn't leave a harsh film on the body like store bought soap. It's actually very moisturizing. For the face I would tread lightly if you have sensitive skin. Not good for my face but it's ok. He left nothing damaged. Just broke me a bit. Now I only use it on my body. I would buy again.
