2 fans smell of melting plastic, both motor housings are hot, contact Hunter

Update: See original problem description below. When they called Hunter, they said it was "normal" to smell burning oil and that they had to run the fan on full blast for 24 hours to burn off the "non-toxic" grease. They also claimed that after 24 hours the smell and engine heat would be gone. I'm sorry but I don't get it, it's not lube that makes things hot and why would I burn chemicals in a baby's room? It's just crazy. These 3 are coming back and I will never buy a Hunter product again. Bought 3 identical fans to install in 3 rooms. A fan had a broken reflective cover. Called Hunter, new ones on the way, no problem, I guess accidents happen. I installed the other 2 and then noticed a faint smell of burnt plastic. I thought it might be the paint color used on those Chinese fans but the smell lingered and was only present when the fan was on. I disassembled one of the fans and the motor housing felt very hot. 126 degrees Fahrenheit according to my IR thermometer and it has been about 10 minutes after it cooled since I removed it during disassembly. The cables look good, the connections are fine, they're not hot, it was just the motor itself. Obviously something is wrong. I contacted Hunter but they were closed. Will update this review when I get an answer. Even if they think they have a solution I'm not sure I trust them - they sold me 2 dangerous fans which I hung in the kids room. I have replaced many ceiling fans in my time and they only replaced old fans that worked fine for years, it was not like installing a brand new ceiling box.
