Stress breaks on plastic loom

I bought this loom and only used it twice. On the second pull on the rope, I noticed that the damn loom was under tension right in the middle, where it had to bend to pull out the metal stretcher. I can't take a good picture, but now there is a small tear that has gotten worse. I would like to warn others to be careful with your loom. Good looms, at least the most successful ones, are made of wood and I may have to take that into account in the future. UPDATE: It has been a little over a month or 60 days since I purchased this Jewel Loom set. I have checked various other areas on the web and spoken to others who own or use this loom. More than half of the 25 other executives who spoke to me said the same thing, namely that they had a cracked and/or broken jewel loom within a month of using the loom. Most have told me that this click happened in the middle, where you have to bend it long enough to insert and then remove the metal rod. Several tradesmen have mentioned that they later bought additional machines and saw EXACTLY the same errors in the middle. I really like this machine because it's light and because of the rheumatoid arthritis that affects my hands and arms; to have a loom that is lighter and easier to handle. But the problem I see is that nobody seems to care that this loom has a structural problem. Or maybe Bidalon just doesn't care. I'm on SSDI and my money is precious and while it wasn't as expensive as the others it's still money I can't get back. I'm afraid it will break if I try to use it again.
