I contacted the manufacturer through Revain to inquire about ANSI cut resistance but have had no response. One could imagine that if the manufacturer does not respond, it is not so great. In addition, the cable with the bag is very thin. Even if the bag resists cuts very well, I think the wire cutters will quickly cut through the cable, making the quality of the bag itself unimportant. This product seems to fall into the 'better than nothing' category. But if you think stopping someone from stealing your expensive laptop is legal, think again. I don't see much benefit if the janitor in your hotel room (or anyone else) has a small pair of wire cutters. I believe a more cut resistant cable would need to be a lot thicker and therefore heavier, so I guess the manufacturer took that into account. This will potentially stop the type of burglars that walk around the block looking for unlocked car doors while walking past the locked ones. You are looking for the quickest and easiest way. This bag will certainly slow down these types of robbers without the right tool, but they're unlikely to be of any use if they have the right tool. If I'm wrong Pacsafe please correct me as there aren't many products like this on the market and I'd love to be wrong.
