Winters Economical Pressure Internals: Precision Testing, Measuring & Inspecting Review

My wife bought a used Hayward pool pump and filter, when I started using it I found the pressure gauge was broken. A little research showed that the Hayward replacement was overpriced junk so I sought and found the Winters line of sensors. So far it works great, tells me when to flush the sand filter when the pressure is off. He must do that.

I bought a 0-30 pressure gauge and it works as advertised. However, I installed it on my diesel outboard motor, which vibrates a little. The needle quickly jumps about 10psi above and below actual pressure, making it very difficult to read. I put a second sensor on the motor that checks for accuracy. Very good pressure gauge, going for my third because I can be careless at work and fall or exceed the pressure. But for your hard-working dollar, it's well worth it if you take care of it. I route mine from factory air to a 90 degree valve, to a pressure regulator, then from a Winters gauge to an air cartridge.
