This vanity mirror has several advantages. Easily adjustable to a comfortable height and incline. Bright light with enough space for a makeup mirror. The mirrors appear to be of good quality and switch from 1X to 10X quite easily. I didn't really use the 3 adjustable lighting options, so mine was almost always set to daylight. The smart dimmer was fine, but I was more annoyed that the light would dim if I accidentally touched it. HOWEVER - The durability of this mirror is terrible. The light started flickering at 12 months, at which point it was very annoying to use. At 15 months it started to fade on its own. At 18 months he died completely. The company only offers a 90-day guarantee. So now I have a makeup mirror with no light and it's useless. I've read other reviews of other Zadro products looking for a mirror and this crashing has been a constant problem with many of their mirrors. You seem to be having trouble with the switch and while I'm not an electrician I can assume my switch is due to a faulty switch. Maybe others don't think 150.00 is too much for 12 months of proper usage, but I do. Over the years I have bought MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE lighted mirrors from Conair and other brands and they have lasted over 5 years. The main reasons I bought this mirror was that it can be adjusted which makes it much easier to use when sitting at your dressing table and of course in LIGHT which now doesn't work at all. Needless to say I will not be buying another one from ZADRO.
