I love this bag! I flew a miniature dachshund on an American Airlines flight. I was nervous about buying a large bag because it's not one of the guaranteed sizes, but it's long enough that I wanted it to be comfortable. I had no problems with the American. They never weighed it or measured the bag on any of my flights and the bag fits PERFECTLY under the seat. On my flight home I was faced with a seat with these two silver boxes under the seat and I panicked but the bag always fits nor if you turn them the other way, FYI. They had no problem getting my bag out and opening it while we were airborne. The end pocket is handy for your leash and things for easy access. If you are going through the TSA I recommend loosening the hard bottom and folding the bag yourself before running it through the conveyor as the TSA broke the hard bottom on mine trying to push it down.
