This mesh backpack is more durable than the jansport. The backpack straps are actually soft and thick. The net feels heavy. There is no mesh at the very bottom so it doesn't break at the bottom. This is a good mesh backpack for kids going to school where they need transparent backpacks. It's better than the plastic or other cheap mesh backpacks we've tried. My high school daughter carries a lot, her backpack is heavy and so far it's holding up well. The front pocket is slightly darker to provide privacy for personal items.
