Review on OGIO 5920001OG PACE Backpack Gray by Jason Hinrichs

I really wanted to like this backpack. I am an airline pilot and I am looking for flight equipment/equipment bag. I did a lot of research before purchasing, but unfortunately I will be returning this bag. It looks good and is well built, but very poorly designed. The main compartment in the middle is almost completely useless (especially if something else is stored in the other compartment). The bag just isn't wide enough front to back to fit large items in the main compartment. Also, the main zipper only opens a third of the side of the bag, making it difficult to fully access the bottom of the main compartment. Finally, there's a completely useless mesh pocket at the very bottom of the main compartment that sticks to whatever you decide to put in the main compartment. Because the bag is too narrow at the bottom, it becomes heavy/unstable at the top and doesn't balance well. This makes the bag more prone to tipping over and not standing upright when placed on a flat surface. It's very disappointing and very bad design. Conclusion - great looks and good concept, but very poor workmanship and design (too thin front to back) make this bag extremely disappointing and semi suitable for everyday use. I will come back and look for a better alternative.
