Works well when connecting a DirecTV Wireless Genie to a Sony Trinitron TV.
As my DirecTV Wireless Genie only has HDMI output and I had to connect it to an old Sony Trinitron CRT TV with AV input, this device turned out to be the perfect solution. It worked perfectly right out of the box! Luckily I had an extra USB wall charger handy as this unit only comes with a USB power cable. The picture is sharp and clear. I've only been using it for a day so far, so I'll update if anything changes. But overall a great product for the price.
- SUPERIOR STABILITY - Built-in advanced IC chip converts HDMI digital signal to AV analog signal; This is NOT a bi-directional converter and cannot pass signals from an AV source to an HDMI display. Please connect the adapter with USB charging cable (included) to an external power source. HDMI to RCA conversion requires DAC and A/A signal conversion, the HDMI source cannot generate enough power, so external power supply is required.
