For the past few months, I have had pain in my palm from using a mouse on my hardwood desk. I had to switch to a soft mouse pad. I couldn't even put my hand on the table. Even if the LOFTMAT soft mouse pad costs more than 20 euros, it is worth it. These are the softest, most comfortable mouse pads I have ever used. It's so good I'm in the process of buying another one. Highly recommended and your palm will thank you. By the way, while it's very soft in the palm of your hand, it's not so soft that it interferes with tracking or mouse control at all. The mouse works great with it.
