Wow, that thing is weak. It's about as durable as a wet paper towel, not a bounty paper towel, we're talking a discount store paper towel. I've used mine TWICE - from Jax to Key West. The first time it came apart at TWO seams AND one of the bike lock seals partially broke (it locked the scooter to the bumper mount). We sealed it with tape and when I got to Key West I inspected and patched the torn seams (I'm a professional seamstress so I ALWAYS have a sewing kit!). On the way HOME started at two NEW places. It was securely fixed so flapping was minimal. It appeared to be fairly waterproof - at least in the uninterrupted seams. So yes, this item might be enough to protect you from the morning dew as it's parked under a canopy in your garage, but it absolutely CANNOT withstand the stress of travel! Looks like I'll have to buy a well-sewn travel cover for $120 or just make my own - I really got what I paid for!
