It will warm my fish and fry them. The suction cups hold very well and even if the cord gets wet it doesn't matter, although I still try to keep it dry at all times. I noticed that the light doesn't come on on warm days. On cooler days I'll see it kick in so it does a good job of keeping the water at the right temperature. My only complaint is that the red knob is a bit difficult to turn. But otherwise - no complaints from me or my fish! And the little bonus plants are a nice addition to my tank.
