This Shure receiver is safe! I had an outdoor campground in Pasadena, California with over 200 guests and the Shure BLX4=-H9 receiver did NOT fail within 8 hours of operation. Before the huge crowd rushed in with their tents, I quickly checked the range to make sure I didn't have any falls or chirps. I placed the receiver 5 feet off the ground and got about 310 feet before my voice began to distort. Highly recommended for users who need long range with crisp, clear sound. I hope that was helpful.
