Comparison Komax Biokips sandwich container and Sistema KLIP IT Collection sandwich container

I've been looking for good sandwich containers for about a month and finally settled on two: Komax Biokips 23 oz container (this item) and a 15.2 oz Sistema KLIP IT Collection sandwich containers. indicated in the title. I've ordered both, a set of 3 each, and since they've just been delivered I thought it would be helpful to share my first impressions. In my attached photos, the Sistema has a blue finish and the Komax has a yellow one. First some rough measurements as the ones posted on Revain can be a bit confusing. Komax containers made in South Korea weigh 5.4 ounces. empty and the bottom holds about 3 cups of liquid - not that most people will pour liquid in, but it gives an idea of the capacity. Made in New Zealand, the Sistema containers weigh 3.7 ounces. empty, and the bottom without the top holds just under 2 cups of liquid. The difference in capacity is most noticeable when viewed from the side of the containers. Regarding the inner linear dimensions, since the inner ones are probably the most important, the Komax containers are 5-1/4" square, and the depth without the lid is about 1-3/4"". With a lid designed by Of course, the komax container offers additional space for a sandwich, the komax container is almost 2 inches deep. The Sistema containers are 5-3/16 inches square and the depth without the lid is approximately 1 inch. The Sistema container is about 1-3/8 inches deep I've tried both containers with many types of bread including Dave's Killer Bread and sandwiches I've made, they all fit in both containers, although the Sistema container fits tightly when it is closed , I don't think it really makes a difference, and it may even be an advantage in the sense that the sandwich will hold together better when ingested if it's been slightly compressed. Cheese, lettuce and tomato slices fit more comfortably in Komax containers. Can't be sure about durability yet, but Komax containers weigh more and feel sturdier. They snap from above (ie by pushing in) on all four sides, while the systems snap from below (by pulling up) and only from two sides. Also, I think the Sistema locking system might be more prone to failure as one of the containers I received arrived with a broken hinge on one side (see photo); I found a tiny piece of plastic in the packaging. It's important to note that it's still possible to block this Sistema container, but it's a bit cumbersome. For now I'll be using both brands of containers interchangeably and let you know if there are any significant functional differences. I like their basic size and square shape, as well as the locking system. Sistema square sandwich containers do not claim to be airtight, but Komax containers do. I haven't tested this as I plan to only use them on sandwiches and maybe carrots and celery.
