Review on ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Ceramic Platters for Effortless Entertaining: Microwave and Dishwasher Friendly! by Ashton Dahmer

WOW! I LOVE their products!

From time to time, both the seller and their product go above and beyond. This is one of those moments. I cannot say enough good things about the many items I have received from Mora Ceramics and how they act as a seller. Above all. I'm clumsy and also have nerve damage in my arms that only gets worse with age. I have 2 beautiful china sets that I am slowly but surely destroying over time through wear and tear and my own clumsiness. But I am no longer willing to pay the exorbitant prices asked for a new, high-quality china service only to destroy it over time. And I love some of the melamine sets I've found, but they're way overpriced, especially given the limitations of not having top-shelf microwave and dishwasher rules. So I decided to go back to porcelain stoneware. I found a beautifully patterned porcelain stoneware set that I love and am obsessed with - honeycomb! i love bees (Elama Geometric Embossed Honeycomb Porcelain Stoneware Set, Ivory I am pleased to report that I have 2 sets for 8 settings and now I see that they have sold out. Thank you for your time!) This one dinnerware set comes with a standard bowl and a smaller salad plate. So I was looking for serving utensils for a new set, but I also wanted a set of these cool low-rimmed pasta plates. I wanted something that would look really good in color with the new set - I'm a good artist and crazy about color variation - but also something solid and very simple in design so as not to interfere with the crockery, because the (IMO) serveware should support it but don't show it. My table setting and accessories are off white, brown, beige and light aqua as the main accent, all on a maple Amish wood table. The vanilla color with warm brown spots of bare clay in Mora dishes turned out to be a fantastic color combination with these dishes. (I will post pictures soon). It's just different enough to generate some interest, yet allows the set to be the star without clashing. And quality! omg wow One of the fine art disciplines in which I have tried my already failed hands is ceramics. Not the most experienced area but I liked it and I know enough about it to understand how difficult it is to keep everything looking simple and clean. Let me tell you straight away that this is not easy. These pieces are great and SO well done. I love the subtle flecks in the glaze and I really like the sheer flecks of clay. I'm absolutely a form-follows-function artist and they fit the picture perfectly - those bare patches of clay allow for much more confident handling - which is so important with my questionable hand strength, which goes back to my original reason for renovating my dining room utensils. The fact that they are so cute is just the icing on the cake. The company itself sent emails with questions to my satisfaction which was great. Not many of them make it to Revain anymore. The packaging is EXCELLENT. It's very safe and it's pretty obvious that Mora spent some money on it, which is very valuable. As I will likely be using most of these items for large formal dinners, I plan to keep most items that I have purchased from them in their original packaging. that's so beautiful! And because it's porcelain stoneware, I don't worry about always using one or two pieces and saving the rest. Yes, there will be some variation in wear, but not to the extent that fragile designs wear on porcelain. I bought 2 of these in "XL & L" to use as serveware, plus 2 sets of large 30oz Mora pasta bowls to fit my 8 person set. I want to buy a frying pan soon. I'm ready for a great table setting for the upcoming Turkey Day, sans the gravy boat. Oh I bought one just to be sure 'cause I was supposed to. But I would prefer the one with Mohr's paraphernalia! I officially requested this from them lol. So darling please? Maybe a gravy boat with a lid, butter dish, sugar and creamer? Oh man. I would be in heaven :) By the way. NO, I didn't get any free stuff from them. I am writing this of my own free will. If you're on the fence, just buy this. You won't regret it.

Pros
  • IT'S TIME TO PAUSE AND EAT: It's more than just a bowl. Mora is Latin for 'pause', a reminder to slow down in your amazing life. You are always told to do more, move faster, be better, but you need to slow down and pause from time to time. Mora Bowls will help you with that. No matter what you eat, every time you use the Mora bowl, it's a reminder to take a break, make time for family, and practice mindful eating.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
